Before anyone asks 4J Studios again via Twitter, yes, they are still bug-fixing the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU12, and would send an update to inform everyone if the update is already submitted for Microsoft Cert Testing.

"Yes, still bug fixing TU 12, making sure that Texture Packs and Mash-up Packs work properly with it :) " according to their official Twitter page.

4J Studios also went further to explain what a Mash-up Pack is, "A Mash-up Pack makes Minecraft look like another game, so Texture Pack + Skin Pack + User Interface + Music + Themed World."

While that is not much to go on with what you can expect for TU 12, a fan question answered by the developers give a hint on another addition. "Could you look into making TU 13 have little helping features? Like a favorite skins part of skins."

To which 4J Studios replied, "We've added that in TU 12 :)"

But in the meantime, they have released through Play XBLA a glimpse of what you can expect for the Skin Pack 5, expected to be released alongside the TU 12. The image shows some screens and characters that you can expect with the Skin Pack 5. Seeing any of your favorites anywhere?

One way to take your mind off the much-awaited TU 12 is to check out these two new Minecraft mods, which take the some inspiration from a game and a game-in-hiatus as of now.

Simcraft

Just as SimCity is meant for building your own environment, SimCraft for Minecraft aims to put an element of realism and creativity to the way you build.

Not only do you have the right tools, but the actual resolution of the mod allows you to power at 64 bit at the lowest. The developers have said via 9minecraft.net that the mod is a work in progress, but has come to be the biggest mod to date.

The mod now support SSP and SMP, so you can build more types of buildings, mine ores, and decorate your room in whichever way you want.

The developers have listed a change log for the mod which includes pushing out with the update to 1.6.2, fixing the Flat Map Generation, and increasing Fish Tank Bounding Boxes to try and prevent the fish from escaping.

Slenderman Reimagined

Faceless, the Slenderman mod for Half Life 2 may be on hiatus, but that doesn't mean that you can't play something with the Slenderan theme.

The Slenderman Reimagined mod will make you feel that he is always watching you. Through eight pages in any random location, this mod will have blocks scattered from the spawn point with a radius of anywhere from 250 to 500. This could be anywhere, even underground.

You can use the Page Detector to find them but rest assured that Slenderman is always there, provoked when you pick up a page, though just on standby when you are not doing anything else.

The only way that you can get through and defeat him is to collect all eight pages as you will have the Book of Notes. The added scare value here is that the page detector and Slenderman will only work at night time, regardless of how dark the room you are playing in--so beware.

To get the Slenderman Reimagined mod, simply download and install the Minecraft Forge installer and drop it into the mods folder in the same manner you do with other mods.

Note, however, that on the first run of the mod, you have to give it a minute or so for downloading the sounds.
