Finally-fans can now rest easier as 4J Studios has released its latest word on the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12:

"Finishing up on TU12 now-hope to be in Cert Test later this week. Will be revealing the first Mash-up Pack soon after that!"

Still, the news and buzz surrounding Minecraft still has MINECON 2013 taking the bigger chunk of updates for both Mojang and 4J Studios' Twitter accounts, fans have tuned to the MInecraft forum to see the latest discussions for the upcoming Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12.

Since screenshots and the bug-fixing news were teased via the official Twitter account, there has not been much movement on the side of the developers, probably because there really are a lot of things that will be added for this update.

Even the update of when the update will go into Microsoft Cert Testing still hasn't been given official word, which has gotten some of the fans creating poll on what and when to expect the TU 12.

In the Minecraft forum, two polls have already been made by fans. The first asks what fans think will be included in the update, and the second asks when fans think the TU 12 will be released.

Features as wanted by fans

Votes have been divided into six major answers with regard to the features that will come with the TU 12, with the highest ranking being Villager Trading, followed by Anvils and Enchanted Books. Not far behind are the items from redstone update, and Ender chests.

Breaking bedrock to void barely scraped up votes, but still managed to place last. According to previous reports as well as a list proposed by a forum member, there are already confirmed additions in the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12, including jungle biomes, iron golems, ocelots, upside down stairs, cocoa beans grow on trees, chiseled sandstone, 3D items, texture packs, mash-up packs, and redstone lamps.

On the other hand, it seems that fans still believe that the TU 12 will be released come this August, with most fans voting that August will be the date when the update arrives. But interestingly, one forum member brought up the possibility that the TU 12 may be split into a number of updates.

Given the sheer number of additions, themed worlds, and mash-up packs that 4J Studios has been announcing for the past few weeks, having a really large file up for a single download may not be at all possible.

In another forum reported by The Examiner, Minecraft fans have ranked 10 features that they would like to see in the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12, which were listed as follows:

1. Corner stairs and upside down stairs

2. Red stone lamps

3. Jungle biome

5. Ocelots and cats

6. New blocks

7. Build height limit increased

Minecraft Xbox 360 holds fast to #1 spot

Even with the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12 still in the works, there is one thing that fans can be assured of, and it is the standing that Mojang's hit game is currently enjoying.

Still at the top of the U.K. charts is Minecraft Xbox 360, now on its second week reigning over the likes of The Last of Us, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, FIFA 13, and The Smurfs 2 in the top 5 ranks.

According to VG 24/7, the other games to have been included in the top 10 ranking are Far Cry 3, LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Tomb Raider, and Assassin's Creed 3.

Nintendo's highest-ranking game Pikmin 3, however, crashed out of the top 10 spots to land on 15th, still holding on, but with the very fast decline, it might not be in the top charts come next week.

Check again next week to see if Minecraft Xbox 360 will be able to keep The Last of Us in the top spot.
