Model Gigi Hadid And Musician Cody Simpson Officially Part Ways
Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson have officially split. The model’s reps have confirmed the news. They issued a statement saying that that the couple wanted to focus on their respective careers. The young and famous Hollywood couple have called it quits in the hope that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future, according to E Online.
This is not the first time that the two have ended their relationship. Gigi and Cody earlier went their separate ways after one year of dating in May 2014. Six months later, they gave their relationship another try. Last time when they broke up, Gigi cited that they split because of their “crazy” schedules. She had then said that they were still the best of friends, would respect him and support his career. She also professed her love for Cody saying that she loved him to death and he also loved her.
“Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fansand new message, while she can focus and continue building her career,” a statement issued by Gigi’s reps said. It added that both of them would remain friends with no hard feelings for each other and always support each other. Both Cody and Gigi are having a busy career. While the Aussie singer-songwriter, 18, is gearing up to release his first independent album, “Free”, the 20-year-old model is balancing high-fashion ad campaigns and will also appear in her friend, Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood music video. Simpson is currently on tour in Amsterdam, while Gigi enjoyed the 2015 Met Gala in New York City on May 4.
The last time the Dutch model and Simpson were spotted together was at Coachella in Indio, California with Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber Stephaniemayoand other friends. Cody recently started his own independent record label called Coast House, and wants to sign artists like him. He now wants to release less commercial music like dance tracks and shifted focus on the relaxed reggae and beach style tunes that he loves.
