"Mortal Kombat X" may introduce its own way of fighting on the Xbox One and PS4, if a leaked image of a controller is to be believed. The next-gen fighting game may still be a long ways away from launch, but apparently a retail expo is already showcasing a customized controller for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Seen by GameSpot, the controller is custom-made for the franchise, with the mark of "Mortal Kombat X" stamped all over it. But what's different about this controller goes beyond the signature design--instead of a D-pad, you get six face buttons on the right side of the controller.

Touted as the official wired fight pad, there's a version for both the Xbox One and the PS4. At the expo and the leaked image, only the Xbox One version was shown off, but the image also has the box set for both of the controllers.

IGN also mentioned that the fight pads are being produced by Performance Designed Products. The design takes away from the old fight pads available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. For now, the "Mortal Kombat X" fight pads for the Xbox One and PS4 are still pending approval from Warner Bros., as the company has not yet announced the availability.

"Mortal Kombat X" has confirmed many characters, with the latest confirmation being a preorder character to expand your roster. Cinema Blend reports that preordering "Mortal Kombat X" will allow you to get Goro once the game launches. Goro used to be a sub-boss for the first "Mortal Kombat" game.

Other characters that have been teased includes Johnny Cage and Sony, the parents of confirmed character for "Mortal Kombat X" Cassie Cage. According to OXM, creative director of NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon has teased the possibility of them being in the game one way or another.

"To me personally, part of the magic of introducing Cassie Cage is to see her interact with her mother, Sonya, and father, Johnny cage. So we haven't introduced the characters, but because Cassie Cage is in it doesn't mean that her parents are not in the game," Boon said to OXM.

Whether or not Goro will become available post-launch as a purchasable character has not yet been confirmed, though this may be the only way to get him on your team if you don't preorder "Mortal Kombat X." As of now, there are no announcements or teaser of what to expect as Goro's variations for the title. But if you are looking to get Goro, it's best to preorder "Mortal Kombat X" before Apr. 14, 2015.
