After many rumours about Motorola and Google's flagship phone Moto X, there have now been several reveals regarding some customization options and a campaign on how personalized devices suited for your lifestyle is the best way to go.

In a recent ad that was released for the Moto X, it tells of the wonders of a phone that is designed and assembled close to home:

"And this is just the beginning. Imagine what will be possible when you have the world's best design, engineering, and manufacturing talent located here in the USA. We knew this would be a challenge. In fact, some people said it couldn't be done. But we're not just any company. And nothing this exciting ever comes easily."

Venture Beat reports that the customization feature is not just an empty promise, as another report has confirmed that those who would buy the Moto X can customize the phone's colors right on the website. They can even place an engraving on the back of the phone to make it as personalized as possible.

This way, the phone will be shipped to you with all the customizations that you have done to it. There is also an option of customizing the wallpaper and the storage options before it ships to you, according to IGN.

In terms of design, The Verge also reports a leaked photo via Nowhere Else, a French website, which seems to be showcasing more color options for the Moto X, which include green, red, teal, and purple.

Made in the U.S. for easier shipping?

One problem that this can have is that Motorola will be pushing away retailers, as all the orders will have to happen online for the customization, and Motorola will ship the personalized phones directly to the customer.

But this seems to be resolved by non-customized Moto X devices, which will also be made available via retailers.

Aside from the fact of customized designs, Motorola has also been touting via the ads that the Moto X will be a phone that will be manufactured and assembled in the U.S.

This means that, despite the customizations that customers may want to include, they are bound to receive the phone only days after, instead of waiting for a bulk shipment from abroad.

No "Droid" for a Verizon Moto X

Part of the rumour for the customizable aspect of the Moto X is that, when it releases through Verizon, it won't be a "Droid" device.

Ubergizmo reports that sources close to the subject who have previously talked with The Verge regarding this matter have verified that, the Moto X will remain as that, and not be turned into a Droid Moto X phone.

This means that the Moto X is not part of the Droid Ultra range, showcasing it as more of a phone borne out of the fusion of Google and Motorola as a brand.
