As the date for the August reveal draws ever closer, another leak for the Moto X phone has been released, and this time, it's in action, at the festivities held at Motorola's Campus.

Even when looking at the pictures, it's hard to miss the Moto X, as its casing color is practically screaming and jumping to the eye. And in case you missed it, the Moto X is the one sporting a neon green casing.

TechnoBuffalo reports that Guy Kawasaki, a former Apple employee is the one who had uploaded the photo. Then again, it's not surprising to find more leaks, considering that the phone has been abuzz on the Internet weeks before the launch even came close to coming true.

In fact, the report also mentions that Google Chairman has even been spotted with the handset in public, though this is the first that a customized version of the phone--if rumours are to be believed--has been seen.

The customisation capabilities that Motorola and Google are giving potential customer of the Moto X are limited only to the cosmetics, such as the device's color and case design and the personalized engraving.

Its specs are still pegged to include a 4.5-inch display, a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and 2GB of RAM. If it comes out before the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, then the Moto X may be the first phone to carry the Android 4.3 OS pre-installed.

Selling date already confirmed?

Speaking of the reveal date for the Moto X, which is pegged to be at August 1, there has also been a report wherein the event may not just be a launch of the device.

According to Android and Me, the company Twitter account had posted a very cryptic but suggestive image, bearing the words "Moto X, August 1, 2013." Obviously, this pertains to the event where the device is expected to launch.

However, the report suggests that the possible sale of the device may also occur on the same date, as it corroborates with past reports that the Moto X has started to ship, with expectations of at five U.S. carriers to be up and ready for selling as early as August 1.

Of course, those who want to avail of the customization capabilities would have to wait out for the shipment to arrive, but with the selling at U.S. carriers rumoured to be ready, it's not far off to expect the online customization to be up and running also on the same day.

The Magic Glass: A closer look

Just recently, the Moto X has been revealed to carry the Moto Magic Glass, a rumour that has only popped up a few days before the actual reveal.

The first that this was heard of was from Taylor Wimberly, a trusted source who has been majorly accurate about the leaks concerning the Moto X device.

The latest on the Magic Glass points to a possible gapless design, and, according to GigaOM, this is due to the redesign of the Gorilla Glass so that it will wrap around the sides of the phone, to avoid any gaps between the screen and the back of the device.

Considering the battle of screen sizes without having to push for a bigger phone, Motorola may have found a pretty neat answer without having to resort to pushing its design to insane phablet heights.

The report continues that this may be an improvement on what Motorola first tried to delivery with the Droid Razr M, wherein the edge-to-edge display was still bogged down by the bezel on each side of the screen.

A wrap-around Gorilla Glass screen would resolve this to get rid of the edges completely, but it may also put your phone on a more delicate level with amount of glass casing. Unless Motorola has found a way for durability to ensure both efficiency and durability when it comes to screen size.
