'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' gets DLC release dates and season pass info
Now that it is near its release date, Bandai Namco have unveiled new information for “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4,” mostly regarding downloadable content (DLC) and the season pass. As was the case with most games in this era, those that purchase the season pass for “Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” will get the DLC ahead of everyone else along with some exclusive content.
The exclusive content that comes with the season pass is the Akatsuki Combination Ougi, according to Shonen Gamez. This seems to be a deadly combination move that any member of the Akatsuki can use which should be fun for fans of the fictional ninja group.
Release dates for all three DLC packs have also been revealed even though the contents of the packs themselves lack definition:
- DLC Pack 1 will be coming out on March 1, but those that purchase the season pass will be able to get the content on Feb. 26.
- The second DLC Pack for the game is slated to come out on April 5 for everyone. Season pass owners, on the other hand, will be getting the content on March 29.
- The third and final DLC Pack will be released on May 3, while season pass owners get it on April 26. The last DLC pack will supposedly be soundtrack-related, which might disappoint fans of the series.
Despite the lack of details for the DLC pack, an article from Attack of the Fanboy stated that this might be a good deal for “Naruto” fans. After all, season pass owners will be getting the DLC ahead of everyone else which is a very tempting offer for some gamers.
It will be interesting to see what type of DLC the developers plan on making for the game. Fans would probably appreciate a new character or a new part of the story mode though they will have to wait for more details to see if they get what they want.
“Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” is slated for a Feb. 9 release date for North America and a Feb. 5 release date for Europe. The fighting game will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Additionally, those who pre-order the game can get Naruto's son, Boruto, as an exclusive character.
