The time has ended for every Nexus device and the Google Nexus 10 in the Play Store that began in the previous week.

Reports said the Nexus 10 may be permanently out of stock from the U.S. Play Store and this started surfacing. The devices availability has flipped back and forth from available to out of inventory. Since Jan. 16, the Nexus 10 32GB has been out of inventory in the U.S. Play Store, which means that we will not see the device again. Meanwhile, the Nexus 10 16BG variant has been out of stock since October 2013.

As the rumor mill starts churning again, it is easy to assume that the Nexus 10 2 release date is coming pretty soon but it is important to keep in mind that Play Store availability is not a definite indicator of an impending Nexus 10 2 release date.

There is no doubt that the Nexus 10 32GB being out of inventory in the Play Store will add fuel to the Nexus 10 2 release date regardless of who will be the manufacturer of the Nexus tablet in the future.

In the past, when the Nexus 10 16GB model went out of stock in the Play Store, it sparked rumors about the Nexus 10 2 release date. Currently, the Nexus 10 32GB variant also shares the same fate. As the tablet drifted in and out of stock a couple of times, this will again spark rumors that the Nexus 10 2 release date is coming soon.

A newer, faster and thinner Nexus 10 2 is inbound and although the lack of availability is not a sure indicator of the release date, the Nexus 10 was hardly the most popular tablet ever.

For now, Google will likely stick with the LG G Pro Google Play Edition. We can only speculate who will be the manufacturer and whether we will see a Nexus 10 2 device soon. Reports suggested it could be Samsung, LG or Asus but nothing is certain at this point.

At present, the Nexus 10 2 remains in stock in the UK Play Store.
