Nexus 4 Wireless Charger Available at Google Play Store
Nexus 4 users will be pleased to know that the QI wireless charging device has been officially available since Monday at the Google Play Store. The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger costs $60 with a shipping time of less than one week.
The wireless charger boosts up the Nexus 4 power with the use of the QI inductive charging standard. Built magnetic coils within the charging device can wirelessly transmit energy into the smart phone and the charging dock as well.
Since the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger operates on the QI inductive charging standard, it can be used with the other QI-compatible smart phones like the Nokia or HTC Windows Phone 8. To wirelessly charge a smart phone, just plug the charging device into an outlet then place the QI-compatible smart phone on top and wait for it to be fully charged.
A couple of QI wireless charging devices work well with the Nexus 4 smart phone but a unique look for this particular charging equipment made it more appealing to the device users. The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger design can be compared to a Nexus Q that has been cut at a certain angle.
The angle design will then let the Nexus 4 be placed, viewed or used while the smart phone is charging. Rubber grips are found on the face of the wireless charger that will guarantee the Nexus 4 will remain in place.
Meanwhile, WebOS enthusiasts might notice a striking resemblance between the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger and the Palm Touchstone Wireless Charger which was designed for the Palm's Pre and Pixi smart phones. The reason why is Matias Duarte, the former Vice President of Design at Palm. Now, Matias Duarte has transferred to Google where he manages both the design on the Android operating system and the Nexus hardware.
