Nexus 7 2, Nexus 5: Realistic Concept Videos, More Rumors (VIDEOS)
As news of a possible August reveal continues to linger, the new Nexus 7 2 has been gaining footing once more in popularity, especially with all the leaked specs and rumoured features that have been announced.
This time, a concept video has been released by a fan who compiled all the rumoured included features in the phone.
It is a short video from StingRayVintral, and it's mainly amping up the thin HD screen, the new 8-megapixel rear camera, better front-facing camera, the newly designed back portion, and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
The video also focused on one of the hyped prices, $199, which is in the lower bracket, according to past rumours.
In a report from Phones Review, they emphasize the possibility that there may be two versions of the Nexus 7 2, labeled as Asus K008 and Asus K009 respectively.
In another video from the same YouTube user, this time being a shorter video that emphasizes Google Play with the Nexus 7.
The two concept videos are more for summarizing all the rumours to date, as well as showcasing them in an interesting and artistic manner, instead of something functionally depicted.
What were not included in any of the videos are the possible storage capacities and connectivity features. As per previous rumours, the new Nexus 7 is expected to have at least 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, and wi-fi or 4G LTE options, reports Geeky-Gadgets.
Nexus 5 concept video
For the other awaited and still rumoured Nexus device, the Nexus 5, here are two more concept videos depicting possible features to come.
The first video, from Tech Peak is fairly short and focuses on the overall look, particularly with screen shots for the lock screen, the home screen, in-app on screen, and in video mode.
The video ends with two possible back covers, which interestingly shows off a standard black version and one that is in aqua blue. Overall, it seems to adopt the fairly common design for the Nexus 5.
For those who have been keeping watch with regard to the possible Nexus 5 specs, the touted "Megalodon" is reported to, so far, have a 5.2 OLED HD display, 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear and a 2.1-megapixel front camera, and a 3300 mAh battery, according to iDigital Times.
The second video from NextGeneration225 features a variety of screenshots for Nexus 5 concepts. The video zooms in on just one rumored design, featuring edged corners that give the device an angular look.
The device is pegged to be thin, and have a large X mark with the Google colors, red, yellow, green, and blue forming each line of the X mark. From the looks of the showcased colors, there is a white and a black variant--similar to the Nexus 4 in that aspect.
No specific details were pinpointed in terms of the software or the other features aside from the phone.
