At the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) listing, the upcoming successor to the Nexus 7 tablet labeled as Asus K009 will be incorporated with the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The second-gen Nexus 7 16GB version has a reported price tag of $229 with a release date in July 2013.

The Bluetooth SIG listing contradicted the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing report confirmed a few days ago that says the new Nexus tablet will have the Snapdragon S4 Pro. The web site added a screen shot of the Asus K009 tablet sporting a 7.0-inch LED-backlit capacitive multi-touch screen display with Full HD 1920x1200p resolution and curved corners.

The FCC listing that approved the Asus K009 tablet appears to bear the Nexus brand for the next generation tablet that Google might release this coming July. However, the Bluetooth SIG image could not be confirmed as the new version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet.

Many tech web site reports have supported the new Asus device would sport a newer Snapdragon 600 series processor instead of the older S4 Pro chipset based on the claims that Nexus 7 successor is scheduled for a release in the second-half of 2013. Aside from the image, more details on the new Nexus 7 tablet have been revealed as well from camera to battery capacity.

According to the Bluetooth SIG listing, the Nexus 7 successor will have a 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 4000mAh battery, Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity features. Other reports claim that the Nexus 7 2 tablet will have an 8MP rear-facing camera and the power of a 3950mAh battery.

The device is expected as well to arrive with the not-yet-unveiled Android 4.3 update pre-installed. However, no official announcement has been given yet on the next Nexus tablet so the contradicting details between the Bluetooth SIG and FCC listing still remain unclear.
