Nokia Android 2017 phones to remain ‘true to the Nokia brand’; More phones could be announced in 2017
Nokia needs a reboot and it will get so in the form of new Nokia Android phones in 2017. It is not a rumour anymore that new Nokia Android phones will be announced within the first half of 2017 and they will be Nokia branded smartphones of a new generation. However, the old Nokia that everybody knows is now licensed to HMD Global Oyj and it is this company that will be developing Nokia mobile phones for the next 10 years.
The Nokia Android 2017 phones will be manufactured by Taiwanese company Foxconn. Interestingly, the key leaders of HMD are former Nokia executives and employees including Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, Chief Executive Arto Nummela and President of HMD Global Florian Seiche. They will be handling the development of the Nokia Android 2017 phones.
As of this update, two Nokia Android 2017 phones are expected to be unveiled. Moreover, according to Phone Arena, several Nokia handsets will reportedly be announced to the public next year. Beyond this knowledge, nothing is confirmed and everything is rumour about the phones. The name Nokia D1C is making rounds on the Internet but it is unlikely that the phone will be named such.
Another possibility is the Nokia Android 2017 phones will run near-stock and bloat-free Android version. This is difficult to confirm as nothing is known about the software specs of the upcoming phones. However, Nummela did say something interesting.
“We will be extremely true to the Nokia brand. The Nokia brand is known for simplicity, ease of use, reliability and quality. These are the elements that we will deliver together with amazing industrial design,” he told Live Mint.
While some reports suggest a Nokia flagship with a stunning Snapdragon 820 chipset and Carl Zeiss lens is in the works, another leak suggests two Nokia Android 2017 phones with Snapdragon 430 processors, 5/5.5-inch displays, 2/3GB RAMs, 16GB storage and Android 7 Nougat OS. One will have a 13MP front and 8MP front camera while the other 16MP front and 8MP front camera. Fingerprint scanner and capacitive keys may also be included.
