"Nokia is hosting an event on 10/22; I heard Middle East, possibly Abu Dhabi, UAE," the @evleaks Twitter post reads. The Nokia Lumia 1520 was initially reported to have a launch on September 26, but Nokia decided to delay the announcement of their new device to an October event instead.

According to the Reuters report, Nokia delayed the launch of the Windows Phone phablet after making the deal to sell its handset business and license patents to Microsoft Corporation. The excitement for the Nokia Lumia 1520 continues to build up with the leaked images appearing on several tech Web sites that shows the phablet's 6-inch Full HD touch screen display with 1080p resolution.

The other expected Nokia Lumia 1520 features and specs include a polycarbonate body, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 20MP camera with PureView technology, Carl Zeiss lens, dual-LED flash, Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update, 2MP secondary camera, Adreno 330 GPU, 4 microphones for Rich Audio recording, 32GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded through the microSD card slot available and 3400mAh battery.

Reports are currently circulating that the Nokia Lumia 1520 will be heading to the U.S. carrier AT&T on November 8. AT&T subscribers will be able to get their hands on the new Nokia device for an off-contract price of $699 with the four available colour choices of black, white, red and yellow.

Another telecommunications company set to offer the Windows Phone phablet is Verizon after a leaked image showed the Verizon branding on the back of a white Nokia Lumia 1520. However, Verizon has not given any announcement yet regarding the arrival and availability of Nokia's first phablet device.
