The hype on the upcoming Nokia Lumia 928 smart phone is currently increasing. The Nokia Lumia 928 rumored features, specs and release date have rapidly spread on the internet even though the smart phone is not a fresh device but just a variant of the Nokia Lumia 920 smart phone.

However, reports are claiming that the Finnish technology giant is creating the Nokia Lumia 928 with a new and much lighter body and some developments to make the upcoming smart phone appealing to the device enthusiasts worldwide.

"Known previously as Laser, the Lumia 920 variant will include some significant changes that make it a new standalone device. We're told that Nokia will switch to aluminum for the 928, with a xenon and LED flash combination for the 8-megapixel PureView camera," Tom Warren of "The Verge" stated.

According to The Verge report, Nokia plans to release the Lumia 928 smart phone some time in April 2013 through the carrier Verizon. The latest Windows Phone 8 flagship has been rumored as well in joining the mobile carrier due to the matching Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands 4 and 13.

Furthermore, Nokia Lumia 928 has already gone through the United States Federal Communications Commission test. Verizon's Nokia Lumia 928 smart phone is expected to have a 4.5-inch screen display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity and a 2000mAh battery. Additional features include a similar square appearance like the Nokia Lumia 720 with a slightly curved spine thickness design measured at 10.2mm.

The rumored features and specifications are still subject to change since Nokia has not yet officially released a statement to confirm or announce what the Nokia Lumia 928 smart phone can offer to the device users.
