Nokia has not yet officially announced the Nokia Lumia 929, or also known as the Lumia Icon, but the alleged Windows Phone device is now selling in China. The popular Chinese Web site Taobao offers the Nokia Lumia 929 smartphone at a price of ¥3,800 or US$628.

The Win Beta report claims the Windows Phone handset being imported from the U.S. works on China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. Though LTE does not work on the Lumia Icon in China, the rumoured Nokia device can still support 2G on China Mobile, 2G or 3G on China Unicom and a cracked SIM is required on China Telecom in order for the Lumia Icon to function.

The Nokia Lumia 929 has already appeared in numerous reports for the past few months showing the leaked images of the alleged Finnish device, case accessories and a listing at the Verizon Web site with the $777 price tag. In addition to the listing and shared images, features and specs of the Nokia Lumia 929 were revealed as well. According to the GSMArena report, the Lumia Icon boasts with the 5-inch screen display with 1,080p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 20 MP PureView camera and 32 GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded through the available microSD card slot.

Device enthusiasts expect the Nokia Lumia 929 to be the trimmed down version of the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet due to similar features and specs found on the device. The other rumoured features and specs on the Lumia Icon device include the Adreno 330 GPU, Carl Zeiss optics, 2,420 mAh battery and the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 with Lumia Black update pre-installed out of the box.

Both Nokia and Verizon have not yet given any comments regarding the heap of reports on the Nokia Lumia 929 put up for sale in China. There is no confirmation as well on the official launch date of the Lumia Icon, but the circulating reports suggest the device will make a grand appearance at the 2014 Mobile World Congress on Feb 24 to 27 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.
