Nokia Lumia EOS & a Tablet to Launch in July, Discount for Lumia 521 & Lumia 925 to Come to AT&T?
In its continuing efforts of breaking into the league of the big names in mobile communications and devices, a recent report has revealed that Nokia may now be tapping the tablet industry as well producing another smartphone to come this July.
This may be one of Nokia's strategies to get share some of the limelight that Apple is bound to have after updates and details are revealed come its WWDC event.
Nokia has been gearing with releases and news of several smartphones, from the increasingly popular Lumia 925 to the Lumia 521. But it's likely that Nokia fans can expect another phone by the start of the second half of the year, as reports have been coming in of the Nokia Lumia EOS being tested with AT&T.
What's making noise about the Lumia EOS is its 41-megapixel 808 Pureview feature, which is said to be the killer addition to this device. And what's more, it may be released as early as July this year, reports NDTV Gadgets.
Some of the features of the phone may include a thinner body compared to the Lumia 920, a hump for the camera at the back, and an OLED screen.
Not only that, the smartphone, dubbed Elvis, may even be released alongside a tablet, as Nokia is said to be working on this particular device.
No details or leaked information has yet come to light, but expect more updates on Nokia's upcoming devices.
Nokia Lumia 925 headed to AT&T?
When news broke of the Nokia Lumia 925, there had already been talks about the device' s exclusivity with T-Mobile, but recent reports suggest that AT&T has started to test the phones for its network.
Phones Review reports that the Lumia 925 may actually land in AT&T in two ways. One way is for users to buy the phone through T-Mobile without having to be tied to any plans. And given the Lumia 925's LTE band 17 compatibility, it can easily be used on the AT&T carrier.
There may also be a time-exclusivity deal with T-Mobile, wherein the Lumia 925 will be exclusive for a certain period, after which AT&T can step in as carrier of the device. This may be Nokia's way of covering more ground in distributing one of its better models to more consumers.
T-Mobile's offer for Nokia Lumia 521
As the only official carrier of the Nokia Lumia 521, you know that T-Mobile is bound to offer something to keep the interest going, considering the possibility that the Nokia Lumia 925 may actually be a shared phone with AT&T.
Though the Nokia 521's lower cost of $199, T-Mobile makes the deal even sweeter, slashing off $50 via a Refill card, so you can get it for $149 without any annual contract, reports WM Poweruser.
The Lumia 521 features a 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 6GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM, and a 480x800 display resolution--which you can get at the discounted price, but for a limited time only.
