Certain bugs have been reported related to some functions and apps of Samsung Galaxy S4 such as error "999" in Samsung Hub App and integration issues with the Samsung account. This new official firmware update fixes those bugs and upgrades your Galaxy S4 to an all new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The released official firmware update works only for Galaxy S4 with model numbers GT-I9505 and GT-I9500 containing Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and fixes all major bugs of the stock ROM running your smartphone. Installing this firmware will not root your Galaxy S4 and you can apply the update regardless of country since it was released by Samsung.

Normally, Samsung Kies PC Suite is used to update your device by simply installing the software on your computer, connecting the handset and following the instruction guide. If you do not receive an update from Samsung Kies, you can install the update manually.

2. Install the drivers needed for Galaxy S4. You can get these drivers by installing Samsung Kies on your computer.
