One Direction After Zayn Malik: Harry Styles Cried On Stage While Louis Tomlinson Put His Arm Around An Imaginary Malik [SEE VIDEO]
Zayn Malik has quit One Direction as he wants a “normal” life but his bandmates are not able to get him out of their lives and have already started missing him. Harry Styles became emotional and began crying during One Direction's first official gig without Malik in Jakarta, Indonesia, new reports suggest. One Direction is currently in Asia for their “On The Road Again” world tour, which stretches till October.
A fan has captured a video of Styles crying on stage as he apparently remembered his bandmate Malik. Check it out below. The incident happened on Wednesday night in Jakarta when One Direction performed without Malik in their concert. The curly haired singer made no attempt to hide his emotions on stage and was seen wiping tears from his eyes. The boys had to give their performance just hours after Malik confirmed he wanted to leave One Direction after five years of togetherness.
Malik's other bandmate Louis Tomlinson also got emotional on stage remembering his former bandmate and was photographed with tears in his eyes. One Twitter user also clicked a picture of Tomlinson putting his arms around an imaginary Malik on stage. Various fans who were present at the concert also tweeted that Liam Payne put his arm around Styles to console him. Check out the tweet here.
"My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band,” Malik said in a statement on Wednesday as he announced his decision to quit One Direction. The singer apologised to his fans for having let them down but said he will do “what feels right” in his heart.
Malik said he is leaving the band because he wants to “be a normal 22 year old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.” He then added that his friendship with bandmates Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall will be “for life” and told his fans that he is sure One Direction “will continue to be the best band in the world." No replacement for Malik is yet announced.
