A buyer who is thinking of buying a OnePlus 3T may not think of buying an Apple iPhone 7 mainly because of the price. Similarly, the same buyer won’t go for an OnePlus 3T if he wants to buy an iPhone 7 and for which he has saved money. Apple undoubtedly is a top player in the smartphone market and has been there for ages. On the other hand, OnePlus is the new kid on the block. However, the company has been able to produce some very interesting handsets at pretty affordable prices. One of them is OnePlus 3T.

According to Know Your Mobile, OnePlus 3T costs US$439 (AU$580 approx) for the 64GB variant whereas Apple Australia lists the basic 32GB iPhone 7 price at $1,079. Specs-wise, the Apple iPhone 7 is dust and water resistant as it is IP67 certified. OnePlus 3T does not have such certifications. While it has a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and Oxygen OS 4.0.2, the Apple iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen.

It has a screen resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and the screen has Ion-strengthened glass and oleophobic coating, wide colour gamut display, 3D Touch display & home button and Display Zoom. OnePlus 3T runs on Android Marshmallow and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processsor and Adreno 530 GPU. The iPhone 7 of course runs on iOS 10.0.1, upgradable to iOS 10.2, a highly-advanced OS. It is powered by the best-in-class processor, Apple A10 Fusion. It has a PowerVR Series7XT Plus and six-core GPU.

The OnePlus 3T handset is available in 64/128GB storage variants and both have 6GB RAM. The Apple iPhone 7 is available in 32/128/256 GB variants with 2GB RAM. However, the shortage in RAM is made up for by excellent processor. There is no microSD card slot in both phones. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present in the OnePlus phone but not in the iPhone 7. According to GSMArena, OnePlus 3T comes with a 16MP primary camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS and LED flash. The secondary camera is also of 16MP.

The Apple iPhone 7 comes with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8, 28mm, phase detection autofocus, OIS and quad-LED (dual tone) flash. The 7MP secondary camera comes with f/2.2, 32mm, 1080p@30fps, 720p@240fps, face detection, HDR and panorama. Feature-wise, the Apple iPhone 7 is richer in features than OnePlus 3T.
