One of the impressive smartphones from 2013, the Oppo N1, is slated to get a compact sibling in Oppo N1 Mini very soon. Apparently, Oppo's official Twitter page pertaining to India revealed this information. The details include an image of the upcoming Oppo N1 Mini device with the following words "Mini in size, Max on fun." In addition, the caption said the following "Revolutionary 24 Mega Pixels Ultra HD Camera, Coming Soon." Notably, the phone was officially announced in June 2014 in China.

The aforementioned 24 MP camera might sound overwhelming, however it is actually a 13 MP camera unit that can be swivelled (turned) back and forth. To elaborate further, even with a 13 MP unit, the camera software will be equipped to capture images up to 24 MP upon shooting in Ultra HD mode, according to NDTV.

Ultimately, users will be able to use the same camera lens to capture images via the front and the back by just rotating the lens. Moreover, Sony has provided the lens to Oppo for the N1 Mini handset. Hence it comes with Sony IMX214 sensor camera with LED flash.

Furthermore, this killer camera unit also come with the now-famous "Super Zoom" mode introduced initially in the Oppo Find 7 smartphone. It is worth noting that, a total of ten captured images can be clubbed to make one 50 MP picture with the help of Oppo Find 7's camera.

When it comes to key specifications, the Oppo N1 Mini features a 5-inch JDI display bundled with 720 x 1,280 screen resolution. The compact device will be powered by a good quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU. In addition, the phone is expected to come with 2 GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean along with Oppo's ColorOS 1.4 UI on top of it.

Upcoming Oppo N1 Mini will house 16 GB of internal storage with no support for microSD card. The device supports all the standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS and 4G/3G LTE among others. The handset is powered by a solid 2140 mAh battery unit. When it comes to size, the Oppo N1 Mini is 9.2 mm thick and it weighs 150 grams. The expected colour options include white, blue and yellow.
