There is no place for Larry Bloom, played by Jason Biggs, in “Orange is the New Black” Season 3. The ex-fiancé exited Piper Chapman’s (Taylor Schilling) life when he got involved with her best friend Polly Harper (Maria Dizzia). Now, Larry will not be seen in the upcoming season of Netflix’s original drama-comedy.

Biggs has revealed the reason why he is not doing “Orange is the New Black” Season 3. In an interview with Huffington Post, the actor said that the new season is not his character’s season. He said, “They have a lot of characters to service on that show and, at the end of the day, it's a women's prison show.”

The actor, who starring in the Broadway play "The Heidi Chronicles,” pointed out that his character is not important, as Larry is neither in prison nor a woman. Biggs, however, did not rule out the possibility of his returning to reprise his role in the future seasons of “Orange is the New Black.” And he said that he would not think twice but would return “in a heartbeat.”

Biggs is not the only actor from the original cast who will be missing from the third instalment of “Orange is the New Black.” Pablo Schreiber, who played corrections officer George "Pornstache" Mendez on the show, will also not make an appearance in the new season.

The mother of Schreiber’s character will be entering the show. Mary Steenburgen has signed on to play the mother's role. The details about her character have been kept under wraps. Also Mike Birbiglia, Blair Brown, Marsha Stephanie Blake and Ruby Rose are starring in the new season along with the original cast. Blake is playing the role of new corrections officer at Litchfield prison while Ruby Rose has been roped in to play Stella Carlin, who will attract the attention of both Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) and Chapman.

Netflix is releasing all the episodes of “Orange is the New Black” Season 3 on June 12. Meanwhile, at this year’s Emmys, the show will be competing as a drama because there was a change in rules. Last year, “Orange is the New Black” scored a nomination in the Outstanding Comedy Series category.
