Oscar Coverage: Angelina Jolie Will Present for the Academy Awards
The 84th Oscar Academy Awards is just a few days away. Rightful nods were announced last January 24 when "Hunger Games" star, Jennifer Lawrence took to stage alongside Academy President, Tom Sherak. February 26 is just around the corner and the Academy has finally announced a few noble Hollywood celebrities to present, one of which is the lovely, Angelina Jolie.
Telecast producers Don Mischer and Brian Grazer announced just today that Academy Award-Winning Actress, Angelina Jolie, will join the noble ranks of presenters at the 84th Academy Awards Ceremony. It is only but appropriate that Jolie take the stage.
Why? Because the Hollywood actress has a sparkling and not to mention perfect track record for the Oscars herself.
In the year 1999, Angelina Jolie nabbed the Oscar Award for Best Supporting Actress in the film, "Girl, Interrupted" alongside equally talented, Wynona Rider. In the year 2008, Jolie once again received a worthy Oscar nod for her lead performance in the thriller, "Changeling."
Other films that Jolie's performance has been given credit for include, "A Mighty Heart", "Wanted", "Salt", "The Tourist", "Taking Lives", "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", "Kung Fu Panda 2" and "The Bone Collector."
Angelina Jolie is not only a talented actress but she is in the making of becoming an equally talented director. Her most recent directing debut, "In the Land of Blood and Honey", received a lot of notable comments. Despite being thrust in the limelight of acting, the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador continues to go around the globe plus still have time for her wonderful family of six, seven including Brad Pitt.
The talented actress will once again take the stage as presenter to the 2012 Academy Awards. The 84th Oscar Awards will take place on a Sunday at the Kodak Theatre. Joining Angelina Jolie as presenters on February 26 will be Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Milla Jovovich, Halle Berry and Tom Hanks.
The cast of the show, "Bridesmaids" are also set to make an appearance as presenters at the Oscar night.
For those who might need a bit of memory refreshment, the nominees for the Oscars may be found here. It'll only be a few days more wait for the Oscar presentation to be televised live in over 225 countries worldwide.
