Paul Wesley on Twitter: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Calls Co-Star Ian Somerhalder His 'Girlfriend'
"Vampire Diaries" actor Paul Wesley previously revealed having a man crush on Daniel Gillies of "The Originals" but now there seems to be another important man in his life. "New Girl" actor Max Greenfield shared an image on Twitter featuring Paul Wesley posing with Ian Somerhalder and the TVD star made a funny response by calling the TVD co-star his "girlfriend."
"Here's a pic of Schmidt and Nick from tonight's all new ep of @NewGirlonFOX," Max Greenfield's silly post read at his Twitter account @iamgreenfield with the photo of "The Vampire Diaries" actors in the WetPaint report. The 31-year-old actor saw the tweet and he responded using Twitter account @paulwesley: "This must be some sort of misunderstanding. This is actually a photo of me and my girlfriend Ian Somerhalder."
Mr Wesley may be busy filming the episodes for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 in Atlanta, but the actor was able to throw light over for the confusion for his character Silas' confusing existence after all that has happened.
"He was immortal, and then he had the cure in him, but now he can't die. All he wants to do is die, so he's pissed off and he's going to wreak some havoc. In fact, there's a scene in the next episode which is my favorite scene that I've shot as Silas. It's just really funny, fun, diabolical, and really just well-shot and well-written," Paul shared in the Zap2it report.
TVD executive producer Caroline Dries gave her thoughts as well on the Silas confusion whether he is alive, dead, cured or aging. "I feel like people were a little confused by that. But remember what happened with Katherine. Silas ingested the cure from her and now she's aging," Ms Dries stated.
The executive producer further added that Silas will have to deal with the same problem that Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) has. She revealed: "That's going to happen now that Amara drank the cure. She's now mortal, and he's now immortal but dying. She just needed to be able to kill herself. It's a very uplifting show. The CW was like, 'Um, we get what you're doing here but you have a number of characters trying to kill themselves. Just be careful'."
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW network.
