The worldwide release of PopCap Games' Plants vs. Zombies 2, but already , it is receiving flak from the Chinese community, who received as special edition of the game.

Released early August, Network World reports that the Chinese edition was said to be too difficult to accomplish without the need to make in-app purchases just to get through the levels.

According to the report, the reviews on Apple's iTunes Store received over 35,000 one0star reviews, a far cry from the reception of the first version of the game.

"If you don't buy them, it's very hard to get through the stage," said Xue Yongfeng, an analyst for Analysis International, to Network World. "In China, users need to pay more in order to pass. But Chinese users feel this is unfair."

A new question may arise from this new development. Based on earlier releases and reports, there is only one known version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 that is slated for release, which is now currently under beta testing for Australia and New Zealand.

While a Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition was released as a localisation of the original, there haven't been any reports publicized that a separate game was created as an exclusive release for China.

Does this also mean that localised versions will be rolled out once the beta testing is over? For the meantime, PopCap Games has not released any comment on the matter.

Crazy Dave transmissions feature insane creatures

Teasers are pretty much what people can enjoy with when it comes the much-anticipated but still unreleased Plants vs. Zombies 2, and PopCap Games has been kind enough to provide a variety of new content, even in the form of 10- and 17-second videos.

Since the teasing began, the Crazy Dave Transmissions, snippets of sneak peeks for the game, have already reached a fourth and fifth video.

In the fourth video, you can get a glimpse of what you can expect in terms of some cool new powers that you can do when you start playing the game. Hint: it involves defeating zombies without plants!

The latest of Crazy Dave Transmission videos features a very surprising new zombie, and one that hasn't appeared in most f the gameplays available online.

Where else have you seen-get ready for this-chicken zombies (or at least zombies dressed as chicken)?

What's more, a plant allows you to zap the chickens, and possibly make fried chicken in the process. At the same time, the second part of the video reveals what looks like a parrot and a bevy of birds heading towards the plants and your house.
