‘Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’ Primal Battle Competition and ‘Pokemon Shuffle’ Emboar events start
“Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” has a new Battle competition, dubbed as the Primal Battle. This is a new Double Battle competition that will run from Sept. 25 to 27.
Registration for the Primal Battle will start on Sept. 17 to 24, and according to trusted Pokemon source Serebii, the reward will be 1,000 PokeMiles for all who participate. The “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” Primal Battle will allow National Pokedex Pokemon except for a handful of Legendaries and special Pokemon.
These include Arceus, Celebi, Darkrai, Deoxys, Dialga, Diancie, Genesect, Giratina, Ho-Oh, Jirachi, Keldeo, Kyurem, Lugia, Manaphy, Meloetta, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Phione, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin, Victini, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zekrom and Zygarde. However, players can use Groudon and Kyogre.
This may not be the last Battle Competition in the near future, as The Pokemon Company has also recently rolled out a poll to survey players regarding a new online competition coming in November. The newest poll can be accessed via the Pokemon Global Link website, and it discusses some new options that may be implemented in the upcoming competition.
The new survey is letting players choose the format in which they would like to compete for the November Online Competition. There are a total of five formats that players can choose from. These include No Mega, which prohibits held Mega Stone items, reversed matchups in Inverse Double Battles, triple battles using Pokemon and items transported via the Poke Transporter in Anything Goes, Anti-Evolution where only Pokemon that can’t and have not yet evolved are permitted and Underdog, which bans any of the top 12 Pokemon that finished in any of the 2015 Double Battle Online Competitions.
For players of “Pokemon Shuffle,” a new event has now started that will grant the Emboar as a reward. With Tepig and Pignite already in the game, players can now evolve the Pokemon to Emboar to complete the chain. “Pokemon Shuffle” players will have until Sept. 18 to catch the Emboar.
Some fans over at Reddit have been discussing some strategies in order to catch the Emboar. For the most part, several have already stated that the Emboar is a pretty easy catch. Items are not needed to succeed, and some have even stated that it is a far easier catch than Lugia, which had also made its way in the game.
One Redditor Valkyriess stated that the base catch rate for the Emboar increases with each defeat. But there is added catchability from bonus moves. Another “Pokemon Shuffle” player, Satokech had also stated that the Emboar can be caught without an item on the first try at a 43% rate.
