‘Fallout 4’ developer records over 100k lines of script
Bethesda Game Studios recently tweeted a new milestone for the upcoming “Fallout 4." The developer now claims that the inhabitants of the wasteland are far more diverse in terms of speaking as compared to “Fallout 3” and “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.”
Bethesda Game Studios said on Twitter that it has recently finished recording over 111,000 lines for the upcoming game. With the game launching very soon, the developer has just recently wrapped up recording. In addition to this, the assistant robot found in the beginning of the game can allegedly call the player a variety of names. What this means is that many players will be given the chance to hear their names in-game, a feature which is rarely seen in today’s video games.
The developer announced that the dialogue library of “Fallout 4” is vast. In fact, it surpasses the combined dialogue library of “Fallout 3” and “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,” which are both known to be two of the most expansive games in terms of dialogue. Tech Times reported that the previous titles had storage restrictions, and with Blu-Ray discs being used for “Fallout 4,” it is no longer a problem.
The massive dialogue library could mean a lot for the game. For instance, it could be a look at how massive the game’s main and sub storyline are. Having a little over 111,000 lines could mean that the game will have a lot to quests to finish.
“Fallout 4” is shaping up to be one of the in-depth and immersive games up to date. Bethesda Game Studios has not only developed a fully rendered replica of a Boston wasteland, but it has also created a fully detailed environment in which nearly every part can be interacted with.
“Fallout 4” is set to launch on Nov. 10 for the Playstation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Aside from the massive dialogue library, the game will also feature an in-depth crafting system, no level caps and a high replayability value.
