Pokemon X and Y: Rumours, Details for Follow-up Pokemon Game; a Transgender Character Coming In?
Even with "Pokemon X and Y" still being played and discussed all over the world, rumours of the upcoming new Pokemon game have started to pop up.
If the sources from Dual Pixels are anything to go by, then the next Pokemon games may be "Pokemon Plus" and "Pokemon Minus." Apparently, the source does hold credit to previous leaks, which include the console-only "Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate," "Kingdom Hearts HD Remix" and other tidbits on the previous E3.
Some of the rumours for the game following "Pokemon X and Y" is that GameFreak may now have an upgraded Beta-Prototype hardware. There has also been talk of an overhauled basic battle system, but there is no mention of whether this is related to the new hardware.
The new region in the game may actually be based on Southeast Asia, with the main legendary for "Pokemon Plus" being a Psychic/Ground type with several faces and the "Pokemon Minus" legendary being a Ghost/Fairy type with many arms and hands.
For those who are still on about Hoenn, the source also hinted at Pokemons coming in from Hoenn and Sinnoh. Also, what appears to be a new breed of Shinies may actually be game changers, though no details yet have been released on how they will work.
Watch out for more rumours about the possible follow-up for "Pokemon X and Y."

A Transgender Character in 'Pokemon X and Y'?
An interesting tidbit about "Pokemon X and Y" was found by Kotaku, and this seemed to reference a change in gender in one of the NPCs of the game.
The character screenshot in the link seems to have said in the English translation of the game, "Yes, a mere half year ago I was a Black Belt! Quite the transformation, wouldn't you say?"
At the get-go, there's nothing particularly different about the statement, probably because some of the impact may have been lost in translation from the "Pokemon X and Y" Japanese original.

In the Japanese original, the text should be, "Only half a year ago, I was a Karate King. The power of medical science is amazing, isn't it?" The translation mix up here is that Karate King in English pertains to a trainer class called Black Belt, which is only exclusive to male characters. This is because there is a counterpart in the form of Battle Girl.
What do you think? Going by the Japanese original, at least there is some representation of transgendered individuals in "Pokemon X and Y."

Maintenance Ongoing for Nintendo
For those who have had experienced some issues with "Pokemon X and Y" online recently, it may be due to the ongoing maintenance being conducted for the Nintendo Network.
According to Polygon, the maintenance may have temporarily brought down online play and rankings for the "Pokemon X and Y." There may be another maintenance ongoing, the one scheduled regularly for Mondays for the Nintendo 3DS.
For now, all four, Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3Ds and Nintendo DS, are operating normally, according to the status on Nintendo's official Web site.
