[UPDATE: Check out this free Pokemon X and Y effectiveness Android app, plus a way to get more Shinies in the game without a hack.]

If you think that Pokemon X and Y has already met and exceeded expectations with its release in the U.S., the fad is even bigger with Australia and New Zealand.

In these two areas, a shortage of stock for Pokemon X and Y is still being felt, but Nintendo Australia has already assured the public that this will be resolved soon enough.

The shortage isn't surprising considering that the weekend of the release date alone already garnered 100,000 units moved from the shelves. It may not be impossible for Australia to surpass the record sales in the U.S. for the Pokemon X and Y, which had achieved 1.7 million sales in Oct. alone and even moved more than 450,000 units of the 3DS and 2DS consoles.

With regard to the restocking for Nintendo Australia, Nintendo Life has quoted the company, "The demand for these highly anticipated titles has meant that some retailers in Australia and New Zealand have been faced with an out-of-stock situation. Nintendo Australia is ensuring that additional stock will be available from this week to ensure consumers are able to begin their adventure as soon as possible."

Blue Pentagon icon means something in Pokemon X and Y

Serebii, a Pokemon-dedicated website that provide a detailed coverage of Pokemon X and Y, has spotted another distinct feature for the game.

In its latest update on Pokemon X and Y, it seems that the blue pentagon icon that some of you may have noticed in the game actually stands for something. According to the report, the Pokemon Company has assigned the blue pentagon to Pokemons that have been obtained in-game.

Considering some of the hacks that have been circulating in the Internet on how to get more Pokemons, the icon serves as a marker. Aside from illegally obtained by hack Pokemons, the lack of a blue pentagon also marks even those that have been obtained from another region.

While there is no report of developers doing anything to hacked monsters in Pokemon X and Y, there are consequences for those who may want to join the Dragon tournament in Japan. Apparently, the rules strictly forbid using Pokemons that have been transferred from other Pokemon games, specifically the Black and White games.

Something Pokemon comes in December

It seems that the Pokemon X and Y craze will stretch on until December as a new service is slated to come in December.

According to VG 24/7, the Pokemon Bank will be a way to store your Pokemons online easily and without the risk (allegedly) of being unable to retrieve the Pokemons because of server issues.

"Poke Transporter is companion software that works together with Pokemon Bank to transfer Pokemon from your copies of Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, and Pokemon White 2 to your own private Boxes hosted online through the Pokemon Bank service," said Nintendo as quoted by VG 24/7.

The catch is that you need the Pokemon Bank before you can have the Poke Transporter, as it is stated that you can't buy the Poke Transporter separately.

Some other details regarding the Pokemon Bank have been revealed in the official Pokemon X and Y website. For instance, download and use of the Pokemon Bank will be available starting Jan. 31. This will give you a pass so that you can use the software for 30 days without any charge.

To obtain this service to complement your Pokemon X and Y, you need to download the Pokemon Bank via the Nintendo eShop, open the Pokemon Bank, and obtain a pass by going through the instructions stated.

The Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter service comes at a fee of $4.99 in North America, $6.50 in Australia, and $8.50 in New Zealand per year, because it seems that Nintendo is planning to make use of this service for a long time. Do you see yourself using this service for Pokemon X and Y?
