Sony is giving a lot of freebies for the PS4 at launch, perhaps as an added incentive for its loyal fans and last-minute push to sale for those who are still trying to make up their minds.

For those living in the U.S. and Canada, Sony has also announced in the PlayStation Blog that, as part of the launch of the PS4, there will be the additional freebie of a $10 Sony Entertainment Network wallet credit that can be used for the PlayStation Store.

And to welcome new subscribers to the service, there will be two additional surprises, namely a 30-day free trial for both the PlayStation Plus membership and Music Unlimited service. The promo can be availed of via the voucher that comes with the PS4 box.

Another promo has been found by Terminal Gamer, this time for European gamers who are still hopeful of landing a PS4 without the preorders. An official promo from PlayStation Europe, Sony is giving away the ultimate gaming package to one lucky winner who get the question right.

It'll be a race against time--or at least the time of other players who enter the contest--as you will have to answer six questions about the PS4 as fast as you can. There's only one winner, but it's a competition worth looking into, because you have the chance to win the following:

- A PS4 system plus one DualShock 4 wireless controller

- A Sony Bravia TV - KDL - 40W905A

- A PS Vita wifi + 3G

- A Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone

- 3 PS4 games, namely Knack, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Killzone: Shadowfall

Hopefully, there will be other announcements of more freebies for other areas receiving the PS4 at a later date.

Sony VR headsets Not Far?

A few months before the PS4 and Xbox One battle had started to rage, there had been rumours that Sony may have one particular gaming experience over the Microsoft's head. And it comes in the form of the virtual reality headsets that have been hinted at just recently once again.

VG 24/7 reports that a NeoGaf user has found a patent hinting at the wearable gaming technology. The patent itself is months old, having been dated in May 2013 as a head mounted display with an audio system. But the VR function comes in the sense that there is an alert setting to notify gamers to a real-world emergency for better adjustment.

Add to that, a developer has also been reported to hint at the existence of such a device. PlayStation Universe adds that Kai Tuovinen, marketing manager, has stated that not only is Sony creating their own VR headset, it is also planning on competing against Oculus Rift.

What does this mean exactly when competing is already in the equation? Does this mean a potential exclusivity of the Oculus Rift to the Xbox One when the time comes for the integration and use of these headsets?

Here's one reason why you shouldn't throw away your PS3 just yet: Read more here.

"Diablo III": Exclusive PS4 Functions; No Free-to-Play

As though the fact that an Xbox One version is not yet even in the drawing boards for "Diablo III," features and exclusive to Sony's next-gen console has been announced.

According to a report from GameSpot, some of these features include the use of the DualShock 4's touchpad, to easily swipe the in the same way as in the d-pad, as well as access some aspects of the game's user interface.

Also, social features which has been big or the PS4 since before, will also benefit from the touchpad of the console. And aside from social functions, a new feature, which is the Adventure Kills system is said to immensely separate the PS4 from the PC version of the game.

Lastly, there's also a Player Mail and Player Gifts features, which are pretty much self-explanatory. The former allows you to communicate or mail an item to a friend, while the latter lets one of the dropped items be meant for your friend, and clicking on the item will instantly deliver the item to the one it was addressed to.
