PS4 News: How to Get More for Your DualShock 4 Battery Life; Creating a 2 TB Storage for Your PS4; Unannounced PS4 Titles
Those who have been playing with the PS4 for quite some time may have encountered some issues here and there, but undoubtedly found fixes somewhere in the Internet.
One point of focus for some these days would be finding solutions to boosting some of the storage space for the PS4 (especially with the upcoming games) as well as having more charge life for their DualShock 4 controllers.
Scouting the Internet, here are a few of these fixes that players can resort to for their PS4. The first would be the charge life of the DualShock 4's battery. When a player is immersed in a game, it's not hard to lose track of just how long and how much they've played and before they know it, they will find themselves in need of charging the controller.
But according to Worlds Factory, there is a way to double the charge in the DualShock 4. This can be done by replacing the 3.65 V 1,000 mAh battery to DS3 batteries marked 3.7 V 1,800 mAh battery. This version can run a player up to 14 hours of gameplay instead of the usual eight. But for those who can still wait, Nyko is reportedly creating a battery pack tailored to the PS4's DualShock 4 and slated to come out later in 2014.

2 TB of External SSHD Drive for Smoother Performance
Admittedly, in terms of the storage space and capacity of the next-gen consoles like the PS4, it has gone through leaps and bounds of improvements compared to last-gen. But given the sheer volume and quality of games, it's not surprising that even the latest hardware will give some hardcore gamers a harder time to enjoy it to the fullest capacity.
This is the reason why more gamers are trying to modify their consoles to fit their gaming needs, as in this case wherein a 2 TB Solid State Hybrid Drive was hitched on to the PS4.

DualShockers spotted this project by Paul Statham, community and PR manager for Bohemia Interactive. Instead of putting the massive hard drive into the PS4, Mr Statham had reportedly mounted the device and added an external power source for the hard drive alone.
The result of the project was improved performance as well as a console that is now slightly cooler because of the external power provide for the hard drive. Best of all, those with the technical know-how to do this kind of project would be happy to know that Mr Statham was able to create the external hard drive and connect an external power source without tampering with the actual PS4 unit, thereby not voiding the warranty.
The link above shows off some snapshots of the finished project as well as the link to the parts that were used by Mr Statham in building his contraption. Of course, be warned that this is a do-it-yourself project that imposes risks that are not the responsibility of Mr Statham or the publication. Make sure to try this project only if you have the technical background and understanding of the console's hardware or at least a familiarity with it.
