As the Mobile World Congress 2014 comes ever closer, more rumours and specs leaks of various smartphones set to be unveiled this year are already breaking out, and the Korean company Samsung is not saved from these rumours.

One of the latest is that it will, once again, release two different versions, packing different insides. According to The Inquirer, there is a version that will have either have the Snapdragon 805 from Qualcomm or an Exynos 6 processor to pack more power into the Samsung Galaxy S5. What's more, it will also carry the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.

Given that there is also talk about the possibility of a plastic or metal design choice, it is not yet clear whether the processors will go to a specific body design, but the source speculates that the premium metal Samsung Galaxy S5 may feature the octo-core Exynos 6 while the plastic body will pack the Qualcom Snapdragon 805 chip.

These may be the only different aspects of the two versions, as the Samsung Galaxy S5 unit is expected to ship with a 16-megapixel camera, the quad HD Super AMOLED display a 5.2-inch screen size, at least 16GB of internal storage space and expected 3 GB of RAM, reports Phandroid.

A more powerful battery for Samsung Galaxy S5?

The steady improvement of battery life for the Samsung Galaxy flagship phones will find the latest battery for the Samsung Galaxy S5 to be even more powerful this time around. Taking off from the 2600 mAh for the Samsung Galaxy S4, a new tip received by Phone Arena suggests that Samsung Galaxy S5 will get a 2900 mAh Li-ion battery.

What's more, the new battery will feature rapid charging, which will reportedly cut down the charging time down to below two hours to get you back to using the device.

In addition to this, the more powerful battery for the Samsung Galaxy S5 is said to have the capability of storing 20% more energy without having to expand the actual battery size, so those who are looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S5 won't have to worry about a particular increase in thickness to accommodate the better battery.

The Galaxy S5 Mini and S5 Zoom also coming?

Back in 2013, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom and S5 Mini have also been introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S4, two devices with pared down features to address a specific need (S4 Zoom for those who want a better camera, S4 Mini for those who want a more affordable device).

This time, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will also be launching with the same devices, albeit improved like the flagship that they are releasing with. Sam Mobile reports that the S5 Mini and S5 Zoom will not necessarily debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy S5, reportedly set for a mid-March unveiling at a London event.

Instead, the two Samsung devices will be reportedly unveiled come June and May. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5, the S5 Mini and S5 Zoom will both carry the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS right out of the box while also sporting a Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution.
