Beyond Europe, North America, and Australia, Sony has officially announced the extension of the scope of its PS4 distribution to include 15 more countries from its most recent release list.

Announced via PlayStation Blog Europe, the other countries that will be getting the PS4 include Czech Republic, Greece, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

According to the report, this pushes the total number of countries carrying the PS4 to 48. But that won't be the last of the territories covered, as early 2014 will also bring more announcements for more countries where the PS4 will be selling.

More things coming for the PS4

If you think everything about the PS4 has been revealed at launch, Sony is proud to say that 2013 is just the beginning for the PS4, as 2014 will be something of a blast, given all the upcoming updates.

"We are working on tons of stuff right now and I think you'll be happy with what comes in the New Year," said Guy Longworth, senior VP of PlayStation at SCEA, to PlayStation Lifestyle.

Aside from what is now shaping up to be a New Year bash, E3 2014 has also been teased as an occasion that those at Sony can't even wait for--and an event that also shouldn't be missed by PS4 fans. This is due to the teased promise that Longworth has given regarding the E3 2014, which involves "epic" PS4 games.

Coming in earlier than the E3 2014 is the upcoming PS4 patch for the headset support, though this bit of news is still under wraps with no definitive announcements as of yet.

Not only that, Quazen reports that Sony's Adam Boyes has also teased an upcoming game for the PS4. The report states that Boyes was able to have a sneak peek at the game and can only say that it was "amazing." This may be related to Longworth's teasers for Sony's plans or it can be an entirely different thing in their line-up.

But one thing's for sure: Sony is far from being done with all the things it has in store for the PS4.
