While PS4 gamers were not given the chance to patch some issues up with Battlefield 4, the Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC was supposed to serve as some kind of exchange to be enjoyed.

However, now new problems have risen with the new content, as Xbox One and Xbox 360 have been complaining about the not-so-smooth experience.

"Hi Xbox members, are you having difficulties trying to get the new China Rising map pack for Battlefield 4? We are currently working with our partner to get this issue resolved," said Microsoft.

Then again, the new China Rising DLC pack does have issues and what's more, they affect all platforms. Some of these issues include getting dropped from the game for PC gamers as well as being unable to join China Rising servers after download for the Xbox 360, according to the EA web site.

Basically, it's your gamble--either play the DLC and get more issues or just wait until the developers have found a fix.

Sadly, GameSpot adds that the fix for the China Rising pack may take longer, as it the developers are currently working on the patches that have yet to be delivered.

More problems, less progress with other projects

Since Battlefield 4 seems to be taking up quite a bit of work when it comes to patching problems, especially with new ones coming in.

Eurogamer has gotten wind that DICE may be putting a temporary brake on its other future projects, in order to give way to the necessary adjustments and work necessary to make Battlefield 4 work.

"The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week," said DICE in an interview quoted by Eurogamer.

"But we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right."

Apparently, despite the issues and crashes with Battlefield 4, it's still a winning game compared to its top rival. Read the full story here.

Players call of official statement

The above statement can be considered an official one from Battlefield 4, but the gamers who have gathered at Battlefield 4 Reddit do have a few words of their own that they would the developers to hear--both the good and the bad--about the crashes in the game.

"There is nothing you can do about the crashes. Those are program errors. Those issues have to be resolved by code. And they are the result of unpredicted states of the application by problems either on the client or a combination of server and client events," said bfoo.

"I'm not sure if DICE actually knows what's causing the crashing. That may be the reason why they haven't found a fix for it yet," said PatrikRoos.

"I really believe this will help ease a lot of the DICE bashing and complaining on this subreddit--some communication. And not just a once-a-week thing like it is now, frequently throughout the day is how it needs to be," FTLRalph.

In support of this concept, Notturno said, "I think if an honest message went out describing the nature of the delay, people would be understanding. Of course, there would be upset parties, that's undeniable, but I feel it would go over much better than a rushed release."

"I absolutely bet you, even given the millions of customers who are now nothing more than bug testers, that this game will NOT be functional by Christmas. It has been over a month since release, Christmas is 20 days away. The Dec3 patch for PC didn't fix anything, and it will be a lot more than 20 days before another patch."
