Purported press render of Microsoft Lumia 950 XL surface as launch date draws near
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is slated to be launched alongside its smaller sibling, the Lumia 950, on Oct. 6. A leaked press render of the Lumia 950 XL has surfaced. It shows that the handset will be available in colour options like black and silver.
The front side and the rear panel of the Lumia 950 XL can be seen on the leaked image revealed by @evleaks. The Lumia 950 XL sports a large camera module on the rear side. Rumours claim that the handset will be featuring a PureView technology powered 20 MP camera. It will be coupled with triple LED flash.
The refreshed Windows logo can be seen below the camera module, Phone Arena reports. The Lumia 950 XL has an exclusive camera button placed on its right edge. It is accompanied by power and volume controllers. The camera present on the front panel will be 5 MP.
The Lumia 950 XL is a phablet device that will arrive preinstalled with Windows 10 Mobile OS. It will be featuring a 5.7-inch display that is expected to carry support for Quad HD resolution.
It will be powered with Snapdragon 810 chipset that will be featuring a 64-bit octa-core processor. The SoC will be coupled with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device will be of 32 GB. It will also carry support for microSD card.
The Lumia 950 XL will also be featuring a USB Type-C connector. For biometric security, the handset will be coming with an iris scanner. It will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery that will be enabled with features like wireless charging and fast charging.
On Oct. 6, the Redmond giant is also rumoured to announce other smartphones like the Lumia 550, the Lumia 750 and the Lumia 850. Even the Surface Pro 4 and the Microsoft Band 2 are also slated to get unleashed on the same date, Business Insider reports.
