The ‘Quantum Break’ footage and ‘Far Cry Primal’ gameplay reveal confirmed for ‘The Game Awards 2015’
“The Game Awards 2015” show producer, Geoff Keighley recently announced that the show will feature 10 world premieres on Thursday, Dec 3. In a sneak preview published this morning, Geoff has revealed that both “Far Cry Primal” and “Quantum Break” will be two of those featured premieres.
In a Twitter post, Keighley’s revealed that actor Shawn Ashmore (“X-Men” and “Quantum Break”) will be making an appearance to unveil new footage for “Quantum Break.”Xbox one exclusive “Quantum Break” was scheduled for a release a year ago, but has been delayed many times. According to Microsoft, “Quantum Break” was recently delayed due to a clash with other release. Company has assured fans that the extra time, will be used to further improvements.
This event will be the first time that fans can see some live-action clips for “Quantum Break.” Featuring “Game of Thrones” actor Aidan Gillen and Shawn Ashmore, “Quantum Break” seeks to blend a television show and a video game, giving gamers one more opportunity to consume the game’s story.
“Quantum Break” is not the only anticipated title in The Game Awards 2015. The official Twitter account of the event posted a video teaser for the world premiere event for Ubisoft’s “Far Cry Primal” also happening at the event.
“Far Cry Primal” takes players back to the Stone Age. The game is set in the land of Oros, where players are acquainted with Takkar,the only member of his group to survive an ambush Now on his own in a cruel world, Takkar will face deadly wilderness as he attempts to re-unite his people. “Far Cry Primal” is coming Feb, 23, Ubisoft reported.
For video game fans, this is a triumphant culminating point of achievement for the previous year’s best games. “The Game Awards 2015” is also a firm platform for speculation of new game announcements and previews. The titles like “Best Of” will be handed out to winners in different categories.
Games such as "Fallout 4," "Bloodborne," "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "Super Mario Maker" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" are nominated for “Game of the Year” award. "Downwell," "Fallout Shelter," "Lara Croft Go," "Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate" and "Pac-Man 256" are also nominated in best mobile/handheld games category. Bethesda Game Studios, CD Projekt Red, FromSoftware, Kojima Productions and Nintendo are the nominees for Developer of the year award. In the latest announcement on The Game Awards’ official website, Westwood Studios is to receive the Industry Icon Award.
“The Game Awards 2015” will take place on Dec. 3, Thursday at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, 9 p.m. Eastern Time and 2 a.m. GMT. CHVRCHES and deadmau5 will deliver performances. The event will be live-streamed across many services including PlayStation Network, YouTube and Xbox Live. For those in Los Angeles, Microsoft Theatre will offer live streaming.
