The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a pocket-friendly device that has a high-performance S-Power Planning Battery. Many reports state that Samsung has released the Galaxy J7 Prime in order to cash in on the popularity of its J-series phones. The smartphone features an all metal body, similar design as the Galaxy J5 Prime and fingerprint scanner.
According to Gadgets 360, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has a 2.5D rounded-edge Corning Gorilla Glass that provides its premium feel. The Home button embeds the fingerprint scanner. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the handset uses Samsung TouchWiz skin.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a 1080x1920-pixel resolution. It has a powerful 3GB RAM and Exynos 1.6GHz octa-core processor. The phone supports dual SIMs. Its touch works like a breeze and the handset has no problems multitasking.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has a 13MP rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The 8MP front camera can take great selfies. The rear snapper has decent colour reproduction and produces crisp images in normal light conditions.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has been priced at about US$280 (AU$371). With a budget-friendly price tag, the device is capable of taking on popular handsets such as Lenovo Vibe X3 and Moto G4 Plus.
As per Mobile & Apps, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime sports a Mali-T830MP2 graphics card and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB. The camera features touch focus, autofocus, face detection, geo-tagging, panorama and HDR apart from LED flash. It also has a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery.
The battery is expected to provide a talk time of up to 21 hours even with 3G usage. The S-Power Planning function offers three features, reserve battery for calls, forward calls when no battery and extended battery time. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime also has some added features such as a “Don’t Disturb” mode, camera embedded in Power button and an enhanced Android Pay.
Its S-Secure mode also includes three options, secure Wi-Fi, secure folder and hiding apps. The S-Bike mode automatically silences the phone when user is riding a bike. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a nice option for regular and moderate usage.
