Owners of Samsung Galaxy S2 and Note will be delighted to know that the latest Jelly Bean update for the two devices is on its way and that the update has been leaked onto international handsets already.

Samsung Galaxy S2 was promised to get an Android 4.1 update a few months ago, alongside the Galaxy Note and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Various sources claimed that we should expect the new software to arrive by the end of the year and that it will arrive in the form of Android version 4.1.2.

The leak of the 4.1.2 version of the Jelly Bean update comes from XDA developers. The build is I-9100 and it seems free of bugs. This may be the final Jelly Bean build for the Samsung Galaxy S2 as Samsung did say it will have the update out by November. Thus, the company might be fulfilling its promise although it is a little late.

The first generation of Samsung's popular phablet has been waiting for the latest Jelly Bean OS update for quite some time and while the official upgrade is still nowhere in sight, an Android 4.1.2 firmware leaked on the web for impatient users.

The firmware is N7000XXLSA, which is the first 4.1.2 leak for the Note appeared in SamMobile. The unofficial update lacks S Pen features which are expected to be implemented later, towards the final release. This build is JZO54K and is a pre-release ROM so a few bugs are expected alongside a lot of entries in the changelog.

This new test firmware is like the other official firmware, and interested users will just need to flash the firmware with Odin and that will be enough, with absolutely no need to flash any fixes later on. The Web site also states that the guys there have fully tested this firmware and it works perfectly as smoothly any other official firmware.

The new Jelly Bean will bring some of the well-like Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features like the new Multi Window feature and TouchWiz Nature UI to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Note.

A noticeable increase in stability and performance, Google Now, Pop-up Play, Direct Call, Smart Stay, Galaxy S3 widgets, Samsung Cloud services and a few other goodies that come along with the new TouchWiz Nature UX interface.

Samsung has not started rolling this update out yet. Thus, you need to know how to flash a ROM if you want to get it now. If you have no idea what this even means or do not know how to do such tech savvy thing, you should wait patiently for the official Jelly Bean update via OTA or from Kies.
