It seems that the new power that can be delivered by next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One holds a lot of potential with regard to facial animation, one which will put it at a far superior level compared to current-gen versions.

In a report from Gamingbolt, it states that animation suit FaceFX will be incorporated in a new SDK tailored for the Xbox One and PS4, which will then put their premium power to even better use.

"We were able to add multi-threading support, reduce memory fragmentation, and boost the overall performance by a wide margin," said Doug Perkowski of OC3 Entertainment. "Our file loading code was completely re-written to achieve an order of magnitude increase in performance. In general, everything was redesigned from the ground up to be more efficient and use less system resources," he added.

Aside from the improved facial animation, FaceFX also enables better localisation of languages. Already, FaceFX supports a wide array of languages, including Japanese, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, French and Czech. The developers are also working on adding more languages to the list.

'Rayman Legends' Dated for Next Gen

Gamers can add another title to the list of expected games for both the PS4 and Xbox One as "Rayman Legends" gets a release date.

Though it has already been dated for a Feb 28 launch, Videogamer reports that the release date has been moved 1 week forward, making "Rayman Legends" a game launching in the UK as early as Feb 21.

According to the report, the move of release date may be Ubisoft's way of avoiding clashing sales with its other next-gen title "Thief," which is also slated for Feb 28. Expect brand new costumes, console-specific add-ons, 10 exclusive challenges exclusive to the Xbox One port and Remote Play function on the PS4 for "Rayman Legends."

GameSpot adds that the touchpad will allow players to use the all-new camera mode to ge snapshots and share with friends. Another gimmick is that players can use the touchpad as a way to scratch in-game tickets via the DualShock 4.

'DriveClub's' Ferrari, Lamborghini and Italian Race Track Confirmed

The upcoming game "DriveClub" has also received new updates, starting with the official confirmation of the Italian circuit as well as Ferrari and Lamborghini cars in the PS4 exclusive game.

According to Gamepur, a showreel was featured in Vimeo, which had unconfirmed details and snapshots taken, as seen in the link above. A Ferrari 599XX was seen alongside a Lamborghini Aventador wheel. The race circuit had the label of Italy to hint the Italian Racetrack.

However, according to an interview with DualShockers, Paul Rustchynsky, design director, has stated that the leaks were not representative of the final game since they have been created more for demo purposes. But this doesn't entirely mean that they cannot be in the game.

'Deep Down' to Have Packaged Release via Amazon?

"Deep Down" is slated to be released as a free-to-play game that will have in-game transactions, similar to how most apps on smart devices are currently being offered.

However, if an Amazon listing is to be believed, DualShockers reports that there may be a chance that a packaged release or a premium offer will be made available once the release date has been finalised.

Three Amazon retailers, UK, France and Spain, have all listed the game as having a price of £49.99 or € 69,99 as well as a pre-order option. The speculation now is the possibility of a packaged version, and it seems to be doing well considering that there are gamers who are availing of the pre-order option.

Capcom has to officially announce any more details involving this for "Deep Down," but as far as release dates are concerned, the only known date is Feb 22 for the online multiplayer beta for PS4 in Japan.
