Samsung Galaxy Victory Receives Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean from Sprint Users [Update Features]
The 4.0-inch screen display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB RAM technology of Galaxy Victory is now receiving the latest update from Sprint. Samsung begins to cover all qualified Galaxy models, including the mid-range Sprint's Galaxy Victory 4G LTE with Android Jelly Bean treatment.
On April 11, 2013, Sprint announced the roll out of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updated to its Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE. According to their post, the Jelly Bean update will automatically download when your Galaxy Victory is eligible for the enhanced software. After the download, it will ask permission for installation and the device becomes disabled during the installation process. Once it is finished updating the firmware, your Galaxy Victory will be receive the following features:

- Google Now - Intelligent search engine and information tracker.
- Android Beam - For sending photos and more.
- Expandable and actionable notifications
- Widgets - Place widgets anywhere on the screen and will resize themselves to make room.
New Capabilities for Galaxy Victory 4G LTE:
- Swype keyboard function
- Notifications displaying full incoming SMS and photos from MMS notification
- Pinch notifications to expand or collapse them
- Notifications from same application are grouped and the first item expands automatically
- Conversational text-to-speech voice in U.S. English
- Voice typing without Internet connection needed
- Manage or create Google+ Events on your device
- Google Maps include Zagat ratings and reviews
- Google Maps integrated now with indoor walking directions
To check and download the update for your Samsung Galaxy Victory, go to the device's Settings > About Phone > System Update. Check for software update to know if your phone is eligible. If yes, make sure to create a backup for all personal information and data files on your device in case something goes wrong during the update. Keep in mind that Sprint is rolling out the update gradually in phases till every single unit receives it.
