Samsung has done an outstanding job of designing a gadget like the Gear S2 smartwatch that’s easy to use. The much-hyped Apple watch is equally impressive with its host of amazing features. Both smartwatches are similarly competent, but the Gear S2 has an edge over the Apple smartwatch in terms of navigation and compatibility.

The Gear S2 is a fabulous combination of colours and design that complements different personal styles. Made out of stainless steel, the watch has a sleek body that sits comfortably on your wrist. It offers a classy look with its round-shaped dial attached to interchangeable bands.

The Apple Watch is an equally attractive piece, with a premium feel to it. Unlike Samsung, Apple offers a square-shaped dial with a huge choice of wrist straps to match one's personal style. However, the Gear S2 has a killer feature in its rotating bezel that beats Apple’s digital crown design. With just a simple twist and turn of the bezel, you can scroll through a long list of emails or zoom into a map. You may also switch to your favourite track with a slight touch.

The Gear S2 ranks better than an Apple smartwatch in terms of compatibility. Samsung smartwatches have only worked with Samsung smartphones until the Gear S2 came into the market. Now, the S2 can pair up with any smartphone running on Android 4.4 or higher versions with more than 1.5GB of RAM, as shown in this Samsung list.

According to Android Central, a slew of smartwatches like LG G watch, Moto 360 and other Android watches can sync with iPhones. It thus means that if you have a Gear S2 and an iPhone, you can connect the two. The Apple watch, on the other hand, is exclusively compatible with only iPhones.

On top of that, the Gear S2 has a long-standing battery life than an Apple Watch. With a single charge, the Samsung smartwatch can survive up to two days, while the Apple smartwatch can only stay alive for one and a half days.

Considering the mentioned aspects alone, the Gear S2 wins this battle over the Apple watch.
