Samsung will livestream Galaxy S7 launch event in 360 degrees for PCs, Smartphones and VR - here's how to watch it
Companies will do anything to make their products shine, and Samsung is no different. The Korean tech giant will live stream its Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in 360 degrees, which means anyone with a smart gadget may join in the launch of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge no matter where they live.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will start streaming at 7 p.m. (CET) on Feb. 21. The live streaming can be viewed from PCs, smartphones (both Android and iOS) and virtual reality (VR) headsets, announced Samsung. Watching on PC
Readers can head to the Galaxy Unpacked page on the official Samsung website and select any one of four viewing options - from the auditorium, stage left, stage right or from centre stage. You may change the perspective as you so desire during the event, and even enjoy the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge launch event from every angle.
Watching on Mobile
Android users (KitKat 4.4 or higher) can download and install the Unpacked 360 View app for free from Google Play Store. Similarly, owners of devices running on iOS 6.0 or higher can install the same app from the App Store.
Once the event starts, launch the app and select the preferred viewing angle.
Watching with Samsung Gear VR
If you wish to watch the event with Gear VR , first go to the Oculus Store and install the Unpacked 360 View app. Once the event begins, launch the app using the Gear VR headset and select the most suitable angle.
There were reports last week that Samsung was eyeing the expansion of its VR business outside of smartphones,. The South Korean giant is expected to reveal its plans at the Unpacked Event 2016 on Feb. 21.
