Selena Gomez Hits Back On Critic Asking Her To Work Out And Stop Eating Junk Food
Selena Gomez had it with people telling her she should lose weight or work out. Despite keeping positive always, she recently slammed a commenter on her Instagram and told the person not to tell her what to do with her own body.
Despite the recent "fat-shaming” posts Selena received, prompting even friend Abigail Breslin to rant about media’s unfair treatment of girls’ bodies, the former Disney star remains positive on her social media. She keeps posting pictures and quotes of her loving her own self.
However, a recent comment by an Instagram user laurenlv94 must have rubbed her the wrong way that she was not able to control herself from responding. The “Come and Get It” singer allegedly slammed the user for mocking her weight and eating habits. According to the user in a post addressed to @selenagomez, the young singer actress needs to work out and stop eating junk food. The user even added that Gomez is not just curvy. Rather, the actress is not toned and because she is in the entertainment business, she needs to work out.
Gomez might have had enough of the constant bashing of her weight because she took the time to respond, calling out the critic and saying she is “disgusting. "IM IN the business and I could care less about what 'they' or you say I should look like. I don't need to do anything other than love myself, take care of my work, fans, family and friends," Gomez reportedly responded. Gomez added that she does work out and the critic should stop telling people what to do because it is not in her place. The whole conversation was documented here.
Earlier, Hollywood Life reported that the actress is indeed affected by the negative comments that she has been receiving over her body, particularly when they say she is eating too much junk food and not working out because the allegations are not true. Instead, the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber is said to be suffering from the effects of her medications for her lupus. The insider shared that the actress is taking corticosteroids for her lupus and is frustrated that her weight gain is being used against her. The insider added that the star would not let anyone bully her and would do her best to represent “a lot of young women who struggle with the same issues.” Last year, Selena and her family confirmed that she has lupus after speculations broke out in 2o13.
