Serena Williams-Drake relationship update: Selena friends ‘approve' of her dating Drake
The romance between Serena Williams and Drake is reportedly heating up, and it is being reported that friends of the tennis star are happy to see them together.
The rumoured couple has been spending a lot of time together and was even seen indulging in PDA, or public display of affection, at a restaurant in Cincinnati on Sunday, Aug. 23, E! News reported. Williams and Drake have been trying to keep their romance hush-hush, but a source told E! that "things are heating up with the duo and all of Serena's friends approve of the pair."
And another E!News insider revealed that the tennis champion, 33, and Canadian rapper, 28, said that they want to keep their relationship away from the glare of the the media because "they are both private people when it comes to their personal lives."
No news does not mean this couple is not going strong. Citing sources, the entertainment site reported that Drake is on “cloud nine” and the singer-songwriter “always had a huge crush on Serena.” The Candadian rapper will “continue to court her as much as he can,” an insider said.
It seems that the tennis champion is also reciprocating the attention she is receiving from the "Started From the Bottom" rapper. A friend revealed to E! that Williams is a “big fan of him and his music,” and that “Drake is very much Serena’s type as well.”
Meanwhile, the Mirror tried to trace back the moment when the romance between the two started. According to the publication, the Canadian rapper has always been open about his admiration for the tennis star. In August 2011, Drake tweeted an interesting message to the tennis star, he wrote, “@serenawilliams I cannot wait to put it on you and make you sweat..........during our match this weekend."
According to the report, the musician dropped Williams’ name in one of his songs -- “Worst Behavior,” and even ended up in a fight way back in 2011 with the tennis player’s ex-boyfriend, rapper Common.
Drake and Williams, or their representatives, have yet to comment on the latest dating news.
