Shailene Woodley Says 'The Fault In Our Stars' Is Her 'Last Teenage Movie'
Shailene Woodley is no stranger in young adult films, having starred in "Divergent" and "Spectacular Now." However the lead star of "The Fault In Our Stars" says she is done with teenage movies and aims for a more mature role.
"The Fault In Our Stars" may be Shailene Woodley's last teenage movie. With "Divergent," "Spectacular Now" and the upcoming "Divergent" sequel "Allegiant" among her teenage movie successes, Woodley thinks it's time for a more mature role.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Shailene Woodley confirmed that "The Fault In Our Stars" is her "last teenage movie." Woodley added that when she filmed "The Fault In Our Stars" last year, that time she could still empathise with adolescence. Now that she is 22-years old, she considers herself to no longer be a young adult. Woodley claims she is already a woman who aims to star in more mature roles suited to her age.
"I've never played my age before and that's my next goal. It's scary," Woodley said.
Shailene Woodley is slowly trying to reach her goal when she agreed to play the lead character in "White Bird in a Blizzard." Woodley gives justice to her claims of already being a woman by agreeing to perform multiple nude scenes in the movie. Although her character is still in high school, her nude scenes call for a more mature role.

Shailene Woodley recalled having fun while shooting the nude scenes in "White Bird in a Blizzard." She also didn't find it awkward having to show her naked body on screen.
"Everyone was freaked out because I'm nude, but in real life, when I have sex, I'm naked. I don't have a bra on, and I don't usually have panties on," Woodley said in defence of her role.
Shailene Woodley, being true to the character in most of her movies, (in "The Fault In Our Stars" she had to cut her hair short to play Hazel, a cancer patient) decided that for "White Bird in a Blizzard" she had to make a "real" movie.
"So let's make a real movie! Let's bring truth to the scene! I didn't want to be exploited, but this girl-like most girls when they first have sex-doesn't know what she's doing. I wanted their first kiss to be sloppy, teenagerish making out. When you're younger, you think you know what to do, but you really don't," Woodley shared.
Reports that Shailene Woodley continues to prove her carefree and no-holds-barred reputation continues when she decided to go naked for "White Bird in a Blizzard." The producers initially wanted her in bra and panties but Woodley was not up for that.
"White Bird in a Blizzard" also stars Eva Green as Shailene Woodley's mother. It is a French thriller directed by Gregg Araki and premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 20.
