Should Barcelona defender Gerard Pique decide to leave the Catalan giants, several football clubs have already expressed their interests in signing the 27-year-old Spanish footballer. Pique's longtime partner Shakira reportedly would prefer a transfer to London and she could convince him to join Chelsea instead of Manchester City and United.

Pique is on the brink of leaving Barcelona, the Daily Star reports. According to UK's popular tabloid newspaper, the Blues are all set to fight with Manchester City and United just to get Pique on their squad. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing on Pique as the "ideal long-term replacement for John Terry."

All three clubs are apparently geared up to pay for Pique's signature. Chelsea has offered Pique 30 million Euros. Manchester City and Manchester United have offered the 27-year-old 28 million Euros and 25 million Euros, respectively.

However, Chelsea has a slight advantage because Pique's longtime partner pop singer Shakira would prefer to live in London. "She (Shakira) prefers London's heady heights to a life up north and also wants to be closer to pals in the capital," the Daily Star wrote. In addition, Shakira also wants Pique to join her close friend Cesc Fabregas at Stamford Bridge.

In other news, Shakira has teamed up with Fisher Price for a range of developmental baby toys, People reports. Shakira worked with the company and designed six colourful toys as part of her First Step collections. One of the toys that Shakira has designed is a soft soccer ball that plays music.

Shakira, who is expecting her second child with Pique, said that it the early years are the ones most important to a child's development. Thus, it is imperative that a baby learns something for each play experience.

Shakira and Fisher Price have also created a 12-part web series, where Shakira gets to share all her experiences with motherhood to all the mothers all over the world. Shakira will talk about her own family and she will share useful tips and information about being a mother.

Shakira and Pique have a 21-month old son called Milan. Milan will have a little brother soon because Shakira is expecting another baby boy.
