Shapeshifting Greymane now available for 'Heroes of the Storm'
The roster of Blizzard’s multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), “Heroes of the Storm,” is going to expand once again with the addition of a new character. This time around, Blizzard is introducing a shapeshifting hero from the “World of Warcraft.” The new hero is played differently from other heroes as there are two modes to how he attacks.
The new character available now for “Heroes of the Storm” is the shapeshifting worgen named Greymane. Unlike other heroes that stick to one attack range, Greymane can transfer from melee when he is a worgen and into ranged when he is in his human form. Greymane was first revealed at the previous BlizzCon, PCGamer reports, and players now have a chance to purchase him.
Greymane is an assassin-type character which means that he is capable of dishing out tremendous damage to opposing enemy heroes. His "Curse of the Worgen" trait is responsible for allowing him to shapeshift into his worgen form. Shifting to a worgen as a human will cause Greymane to pounce onto an enemy. Shifting from human to a worgen, on the other hand, will get Greymane out of harm’s way as it will push him back.
The hero will also have specific abilities when he is a human or a worgen. As a human, Greymane possesses the "Gilnean Cocktail" and "Inner Beast" ability. The Gilnean Cocktail causes Greymane to throw a damaging flask that affects a group of enemies. The Inner Beast boosts the attack speed of Greymane for a limited time.
As a worgen, his abilities include "Razor Swipe" and "Inner Beast" as well. A Razor Swipe causes Greymane to attack a wide area in front of him while the Inner Beast functions the same when he is in human form.
His heroic abilities include "Go for the Throat" and "Marked for the Kill". Go for the Throat will allow Greymane to shift into a worgen while leaping to an enemy hero, causing a lot of damage. Marked for the Kill, on the other hand, will transform Greymane into a human while firing a shot, once again endangering an enemy.
