"Directioners" have Simon Cowell to thank for the hottest and most talented boy band to date. With another album in the works, One Direction has got additional tours and upcoming music videos to work on. Judging from the attention the boys are bound to receive, Cowell claims they might soon turn into "nightmares." What else did the "X-Factor" judge have to say?

With an enormous fan following and impressive celebrity fan base, it's not surprising One Direction continues to soar to the top spot. Following the "emotional" release of "Story of My Life," Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have much in store.

"It's quite nice to look at everyone else's photos actually from when everyone else was a little kid. We're all doing the same thing so technically we've lived our lives in sync. Very emotional, bit of a tear," shared Liam Payne about the official music video for "Story of My Life."

Despite the worldwide fame, the boys are still pretty much their humble selves and Simon Cowell can attest to that. If other celebrities turn into "nightmares" following the fame, the British boys from 1D prove to be different.

"I have a good relationship with them. But a third album can be tricky because they've had so much success and are so young and they can turn into nightmares. I see that in the media all the time when kids get out of control, but they are good," stated Cowell.

"From the beginning, I wasn't going to be some awful Svengali telling them what to do. We are all smart and they can work it out themselves and they have worked it out themselves and they have fun. I've always said to them, 'If it's not fun, then stop doing it," continued the "X-Factor" judge.

As the boys' most recent music video, "Story of My Life" suggests, nothing has changed for the boys even with the popularity, money and fame. Director Ben Winston, who had worked with the boys for the video, claimed this was the exact message the boys wanted to show their fans.

"To see how people change over a generation and whatever happens to you, however successful you become, you're still from the same place and I think that in a way that is the story of their life," stated Director Winston.
