Sofia Vergara Gets Star In 'Hollywood Walk Of Fame,' To Have Own Snapchat Series
Sofia Vergara has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The “Modern Family” star would also have her very own reality show series on Snapchat.
Vergara is taking Hollywood by storm. She is currently starring on the hot TV series “Modern Family” and a buddy comedy “Hot Pursuit.” The highest paid TV actress for three consecutive years, Vergara was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actress received her award with her fiancé Joe Manganiello and son Manolo on the event to show their pride and support. He other “Modern Family” co-stars were also there. Vergara gave her biggest thanks to the show that she felt cemented her chance of getting a star, “Modern Family.” The first thanks I have to give is to 'Modern Family' ... if they had not invented Gloria Pritchett, I wouldn't be here. I owe everything that I have been able to do in the American market to this amazing character,” she said. The actress celebrated the star with a fun party with friends, family and her soon-to-be husband.
As another testimony of her success, the soon-to-be bride is also set to star on her very own series very soon. Variety reports that the sexy actress will be the star of a short-form reality series to be shown on the Snapchat platform, “Vergaraland.” The series will allow the viewers an in-depth glimpse on Vergara’s rise in Hollywood and blossoming acting career through the eyes of her 24-year old son Manolo Gonzales Vergara.
The show would be debuting this summer. Co-produced by Fusion and Vergara’s own production company Latin World Entertainment, the show would be joining several already Snapchat original series, such as “Literally Can’t Even,” a successful show that has already received the go signal for a second season last month. Vergara herself is excited about it, particularly because of her son’s hands-on role in getting this series up and running. In her statement, she said she is happy that Manolo “finally graduated” and has fostered an alliance with Fusion to develop the “innovative series.”
