Japanese device maker Sony is reportedly getting ready to unveil the Mini version of the Sony Xperia Honami incorporated with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The Sony Xperia Honami Mini is expected to make an appearance ahead of the 2013 IFA in Berlin, Germany.

Though the Sony Xperia Honami Mini is only a compact version, Sony can still deliver the upcoming device with high-end features and specifications. Circulating reports claim that the Honami Mini will sport a screen display size of either 4 inches or 4.3 inches.

However, there is no confirmation yet if the panel will be able to exhibit a Full HD resolution. For the device's camera, the rear-facing camera resolution of the Honami Mini may be different compared to the Sony Xperia Honami but results are expected to be of high quality.

Another competitive market release from Sony is imminent after the recent unveiling of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with the 6.4-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS screen display. Recently, the Japanese company has already validated the product line-up details for the upcoming press event for consumer electronics.

The Berlin press event is set to take place on September 4 starting at 16:15 to 17:00 (CET). At the trade show, Sony is expected to reveal the Sony Xperia Honami featuring the 20MP rear-facing Cyber-shot camera as well as its smaller version, the Sony Xperia Honami Mini.

Sony's products line-up from the Sony Xperia Z Ultra to the Sony Xperia Honami and its compact version, the Honami Mini, is clearly a venture to compete and eventually dominate rival companies like Samsung and HTC. It is known that both companies are ready to offer the Mini versions of their latest device range, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.
