With IFA 2014 on the horizon, the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 handset's full and final specifications and features are out. Apparently, an unnamed source has provided an image of the prototype version of the Xperia Z3 bundled with specifications secured on the rear. In addition to the standard colours, a brand new and unique colour is in the offing, along with Sony's new wearable device.

As far as the specification goes, the Sony Xperia Z3 will feature a 5.2-inch Triluminos display and 1080p screen resolution. If reports are true, the new Xperia handset will come with 600 nits of brightness that helps especially with the outdoor visibility during day time/bright sun. It is worth mentioning that, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is one such device that provides killer visibility, according to Phone Arena.

The upcoming handset will be powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC) processor clocked at 2.5 GHz. Even though Xperia Z2 comes with the same processor unit, the processor is clocked at 2.3 GHz (8974AB). The phone is backed by a good 3 GB of RAM. In addition, the Sony device will come equipped with 16 GB of internal storage capacity along with microSD card support for expansion.

The device will sport the same 20.7 MP rear-facing camera unit. And will have the capability to record 4K videos with ISO up to 3200 and capture still-pictures with ISO up to an impressive 12800. Furthermore, the features specific to the stereo speakers and the digital noise cancellation seen in the predecessor are maintained in the Xperia Z3.

When it comes to device dimension, the Xperia Z3 will reportedly measure 146.5 x 72.4 x 7.5 mm, while the Xperia Z2 comes with 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm measurement. Meaning, the new Z3 will be relatively smaller with respect to height and width, in addition it will be slimmer than its predecessor.

Since Sony has opted for a much thinner profile, the reduction in the battery capacity cannot be avoided, says the same site. It is worth noting that, the Xperia Z2 comes with a whopping 3100 mAh battery unit, while the successor will come equipped with 3000 mAh battery. However the company says that the new Z3 can also provide the famous 2-day battery life similar to Z2.

Notably, the Xperia Z2 has one of the long lasting batteries among the top-selling flagships. Hence it is safe to assume that the upcoming Xperia Z3's battery endurance level will not be compromised, opines Phone Arena. Also as expected, the device will come with water and dust resistant exterior and hence it is IP55 and IP58 certified.

Moreover, the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 will come in one-of-a-kind copper-gold colour. In addition, Sony will reportedly unveil its wearable gadget dubbed "SmartBand Talk." It is expected to feature a curved E-Ink dial/display, says Phone Arena.
